Research and incubation
BDB Labs develops the ideas before they become offers.
BDB Labs develops and tests the concepts behind BagelTech: governance methods, ensemble reasoning, prototypes, and publishable frameworks. It is intentionally distinct from the commercial product lane: research can be rigorous and useful without pretending to be ready for deployment.
Labs work is exploratory but disciplined: frameworks, prototypes, papers, and methods.
Research themes
The research agenda is practical, not decorative.
BDB Labs asks what institutions need from governance systems before those systems are packaged, piloted, or advised into operating models.

Frameworks and prototypes
Not everything in Labs is a product. That distinction is the point.
ELEANOR, Ensemble Software Engineering, and related methods can exist as specifications, prototypes, or product inputs depending on maturity and use.
State
In research
Concepts being framed, tested, written, and debated before they become product or advisory commitments.
State
In incubation
Working prototypes and frameworks with enough structure to test against real institutional needs.
State
Ready to ship
Ideas that have crossed into BagelTech products or Bagelle Parris Vargas advisory methods.
Publications
Durable work with source links.
Publications belong here and in the publication archive, where formal work can be scanned without overpowering the product or advisory pages.
The Doctrine of Intelligence Pluralism
A framework for reliability through structured, role-separated intelligence rather than one synthetic authority.
The ELEANOR Governance Specification - Runtime Architecture v2.1
A technical specification for execution, escalation, evidence capture, and governable model behavior.
Jurisprudential Governance for AI (ELEANOR)
A rights-based governance framing for controlled AI execution under uncertainty and institutional authority.
Routing Uncertainty in AI Systems
An argument that uncertainty should trigger routing, escalation, abstention, retrieval, or human review.
